Tl;dr: She couldn't see me because of shit Aerostar design, backed into my bike, apologized for it.

I got a $100 settlement, but I still feel bad because it was an old lady and she really didn't mean it. I hope she didn't lose her job.

Kinja'd!!!

It's half glass, how bad can visibility be?

More likely she wasn't paying attention, or is a blind old lady.

The thing is, I was parallel parked on one of those streets where it crowns - meaning my bike was leaning a bit lower and thanks to how the barn doors were made, almost none of my bike could be seen. Fuck you, Ford.

Hilariously, I didn't have to get my bike's alignment checked. Her van just set it straight for me.

that's not a Porsche 919...

seriously, though. I'm glad your bike had minimal damage. hopefully you can replace the fender with the $100 - I know the local Ducati dealership would charge $ignificantly more.

and karma points to you for being so chill about it.

To be honest, I can do worse damage to my bike than she could. Had she run it over, however.

... I'll still be chill about it. And heck, I dropped a Ducati Monster S2R once (even though I didn't own it.)
